Besprosvet Posted February 25 Share #1 Â Posted February 25 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have you tried a linear profile for your M240 on Lightroom, but you were disappointed by the Adobe color profile baked in? Attached here there's a linear profile based on the Embedded Leica color profile, it works much better for me. Hope you enjoy it LEICA M (Typ 240) Leica M240 Linear+Embedded.dcp 1
Advertisement Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Hi Besprosvet, Take a look here Lightroom: M240 linear profile based on Embedded Leica colors. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ocraMarco Posted February 26 Share #2 Â Posted February 26 First of all thank you! I wanted to ask you how you created it? because I don't have an m240 but an m262 and I'm afraid it won't work, maybe I could create it myself. Thanks

Thanks Hi, That's the way I did that: Step 1) Download the DNG Profile Editor software from Adobe at this link https://helpx.adobe.com/it/camera-raw/digital-negative.html It's not updated since 2012 so it may not work on the latest OS versions (shame on Adobe!). Step 2) open a raw on Lightroom, set the Leica color profile and export the DNG with that color profile as default. Step 3) Open the exported DNG in the DNG Profile Editor: make sure the Leica color profile is selected, then in the curve tab set "Linear curve", and without touching anything else export the profile. Step 4) Import the .dcp profile on Lightroom. Done

With a slightly overexposed file your profile pulled back the highlights much better than Adobe Neutral did. The same when I tried lifting the shadows in a tricky lighting situation I had. On this shot my fill light misfired, so I used your profile to just process just the face to lift the now unlight shadow side of the face.  So thank you. J Welcome, dear visitor!
