The beauty of the 24mp sensor I would say.

BTW I got me three "new" Zeiss ZM Wideangles :) 18, 25, 28. After initial tests, no colour shifts on SL3-S :) Even not at 18! Very first tests only please! Image is at 18mm DNG to Jpg. So, even no profile applied!

25 was on 5.6 all the time :) 18 was on 8 or 11. Will do further testings :) Also at open aperture! Thank you :)

If you use the 25mm ZM, I would suggest stopping down to f11 and leaving it there if the edges are important. Unfortunately this is a lens that does much better on film than on digital. There are no noticeable color shifts on the SL cameras, but the softness from the cover glass is pretty strong over much of the frame. It is beautifully sharp in the center though. I have the 18mm as well and have not tested it recently, but if I recall it might be slightly better in the edges than the 25mm as it is more retrofocal.

The Biogon 25 is fantastic on M bodies, producing ridiculously sharp files, but not so much on other mirrorless bodies. I have yet to test mine on the SL2-S, and am curious how it will work on the SL3-S. I do wonder if Leica will ever create a mirrorless camera fully optimized for M mount lenses.
