I like this portrait - except for the giant's hands! But perhaps I'm over-sensitive to perspective in portraits (ref my post #6).

I’m reshooting this to minimize the distortion of the hands, but still want to incorporate the phone which is part of his personality.  You can crop a bit while including the phone and it helps.  I

the purpose of the image was to show an example of the sharpness and rendering of a DR at f/2.8.  

In regard to perspective if you are not doing studio portraits for sale but character studies you can throw out some of the rules.

How about 50mm f1 noctilux.  This should be around 5ft I guess.
