Punakaiki, South Island West Coast, NZ. Despite having visited many times, the weather and the light are always different. There are no many more tourists, but also a very nice new visitors' center. Sometimes also I find it's OK to have people in the picture. To me, they seem almost significant compared with the awesome power of nature.

The winding coastal highway is very scenic but also very challenging. Average speed is about 50 km/h with some corners down to 15 km/h.

Sorry, typo, coast not cost, can't change it now...

We came back via Arthur's Pass where there were roadworks at the village and an 8km tailback of traffic going the other way for the Coast-to-Coast. Only about four cars were getting through at a time.
