quiet.seattle Posted February 6 Share #1 Posted February 6 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I've had the Q3 43 for about two months without issues. However, yesterday and today I experienced an instance where, with in EVF/LCD on Auto the LCD has gone black (the EVF worked fine). In both cases I used the camera in conditions with some light rain/snow, colder temps. I re-inserted the battery, turned the camera on/off a few times. When I went to the Display Settings the EVF-LCD had reverted to EVF on its own. Back indoors, I went through the same procedures and the camera works again. Is this issue somehow related to the camera getting wet/cold or is this a bigger concern? Thanks for your input. Advertisement Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hi quiet.seattle, Take a look here Q3 43 LCD on Auto going dark.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Tarekith Posted February 6 Share #2 Posted February 6 Odd, I had the same thing happen to me on my 43 yesterday for the first time. I too was shooting outdoors in the snow but had just gotten outside so there’s no way the camera was that cold yet. Popping the battery out and reinserting fixed it in my case, though I did see the Leica logo on the LCD when first turning it on again which hasn’t happened before either.
