Specifically I have swapped cards between cameras; I have not formatted the card in camera; I delete images from the card when plugged into my Mac.

Maybe someone does that for you sneakily when you are asleep?😀

To their credit, Leica took the camera back refunded me what I paid for it (I bought it week of release).  Think I will wait until the M12 is here, thoroughly tested and vetted, and cross my fing
