Hello Kostia,

this combination works perfectly.

I was using the Noctilux 50 0.95 for over 3 years on a SL 601 followed by a SL2-S. Focusing compared to the Leica M is a joy.

Swopped recently to a Voigtländer Nokton 1.0 - have no regrets - the Nokton shows even better quality.

Regard,

Josef

Use the original Leica-M-Converter to have sensor stabilisation. Focusing is a little bit difficult when it is very dark but perfectly possible and much easier than on a M-Leica (even with Visoflex). On the SL2-S big Noctilux seems relatively small and is easy to handle. Its a fine combo.  You can take pictures of stars in the sky during the night without a tripod id you wish ...

Thank you for your answer. Why did you change for a Nokton (better price ?)

I already use the SL2-S with the 24-90. Easy to handle too in my opinion.  I also have the Leica M Converter. I heard, yes, that the focus is easier than on a M camera. Thanks.

Dear Kostia,

I changed to the Voigtländer since it is smaller and gives  better sharpness across the entire frame.

And it costs less than 1/5th of the Nocti.

I sold all my M Lenses and changed to Voigtländer and Zeiss, because, the Leica lenses can not hold the value like they used to in the older days.

Have a nice day.

Josef
