In a Q3 thread @Jeff S came to the idea to watch some real estate ads in my village.

As I needed to test my newly bought m8, and the weather was rather dreadful, I thought I’d photograph some real estate.

My village overlooks the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, and is based on a hill/mountain. I guess it has about 200 houses, from which 50 on top of the hill. Most population are eldery, as the younger moved down to town. Surroundings are wine yards and forests.

The village (as well as the capital) was hit four years ago with an earthquake. Not that bad (5.5), but bad enough to destroy many older buildings. Rebuilding is tough as many ownership papers are not clear.

Enough talk. All images with the m8 and 28 nokton.

Below an original old wooden house. Sadly the fundation is instable and therefore one can not live here. The wooden construction is protected and one could buy it but must rebuild it.

Thanks for the tour.  As an aside, at least on my small phone screen, various pics seem to be overexposed in parts, possibly blown highlights. Not sure if this is intentional style.

And finally, a hill view, with my house somewhere in the back.

many is empty, many could be bought, as well as land. Feel free to join. It’s my home for the last 20 years, and though the buildings look sad, the people aint. They are wonderful!

The village looks less sad on google maps heh.
And those stables should be renamed  "un-stables".
Oddly the Zagreb vultures have not bought up all derelict real estate under Sljeme as the expansion cannot go further North.
