Just noticed the rubber around the CL’s eye piece seems to be flaking off a bit. Planning to write Leica to see if it can be serviced after getting back from my next trip. Curious if anyone had their CL’s worked on recently, and hopefully parts availability isn’t a problem?

The one I always wondered about is shutters which are after all consumable. Is the part specific to the CL or is it likely to be available for or salvaged from other cameras?

Assuming you are referring to the CL digital and not the Leica CL film camera .... Might be quicker and cheaper to approach David Slater at Camera Focus  https://camera-focus.co.uk

However, how 'bad' is the "flaking"?  If it's more cosmetic than serious damage preventing use I'd leave as is or maybe try WD40 Silicon Lubricant spray – but squirt into e.g. an egg cup and then brush onto the flaking rubber. https://wd40.co.uk/product/high-performance-silicone-lubricant/.  .... Note this is the SILICON WD40 and not the regular WD40 lube.
