I received the Art Imago LAB-BOX developing kit for Christmas, and since then I have been developing my black & white negatives on the LAB-BOX using Cine-Still Mono Bath and then scanning the negatives on an EPSON Perfection V600.   I am now trying to improve my overall process and I am somewhat hampered because I am having problems with my Leica CL and M2 ( I am planning a separate post on my CL problem).  With regard to scanning, the Epson V600 is very good.  It comes with a software tool called SilverFast 9.  SIlverFast 9 has a rich set of tools although it is somewhat clumsy to use.  It looks like they focused all of their R&D on tool development and not much on the user interface which looks like it's from the 90's.   I have decided to utilize my old standard Fujica ST701 to make sure that I am doing the developing part properly and then using the Silver Fast tool to its best capabilities.  When I am confident that my developing process and scanning process are good, I am planning to return to my Leica CL -- which hopefully will be repaired.  I think the Leica M2 has a very big problem with its shutter.
