On Saturday, about 15,000 people from all over Germany came to the town to protest against the party's radical right-wing ideas. While I could not be there on Saturday due to work, I went to Riesa on Sunday to see if there were still protesters, as the convention was still going. What I found was an eerily empty town with very few people in the streets, exept for the many police officers still around in case of trouble. I went along the route that the protesters took and was surprised how little evidence there was of what had been going on only 24 hour earlier. Welcome, dear visitor!
