danielmfrank Posted January 10 Share #1 Posted January 10 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I just received my new Q3 43, and when using field autofocus metering I noticed that small red triangles appear just outside the upper right and lower left corners of the focus target. When these appear, double tapping the LCD to return the target to center stops working. I can't find any reference to these indicators in the manual. Does anyone have any idea what these are, what makes them appear, and how to make them go away? Regards, Daniel ---------------- Update: I found a reference in the instruction manual. Apparently my nose is hitting the LCD panel and activating "AF Quick Setting". Even though I have touch AF off, I do have AF Quick Setting on, so it's responding to the nose touch. This is one of the disadvantages of being strongly left-eyed. Edited January 10 by danielmfrank Updated information

YvonneS Posted January 10 Share #2 Posted January 10 Hi Daniël, with these triangles you can resize your focuspoint. For example here you might find more info: Hope this helps! Kind regards, Yvonne
Elliot Harper Posted January 11 Share #3 Posted January 11 I bet your nose hit the LCD for too long and focus mode enters resize stage That’s why I always disable touch AF
