Rich1 Posted January 5 Share #1 Posted January 5 Advertisement (gone after registration) How many knocks or taps on the LCD does it take you to get the focus point back to the center? Is that a special way of doing it? I’m usually 6 attempts…..

keithlaban.co.uk Posted January 5 Share #3 Posted January 5 It varies from one to multiple attempts, but I can't figure out why, although tapping in quick succession seems to improve the chances of success. I'll be watching this thread intently to see if between us we can solve this mystery.

keithlaban.co.uk Posted January 5 Share #7 Posted January 5 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just did six successful double taps in a row followed by a whole series of unsuccessful double taps. WTF?
Aram Langhans Posted January 5 Share #8 Posted January 5 Double tap seems to work for me, too.
Ning Ning Posted January 6 Share #9 Posted January 6 With the Q2 and Q3 43, a quick double-tap while holding the camera to my eye is enough for me in 90% of all cases. Not so with the SL3. The short double-tap also works there, but unfortunately also with the nose. 🙈 Somehow I find this unsatisfactory, as I have actually completely deactivated touch operation of the display. The double-tap for centering the AF point should also be deactivated.
satijntje Posted January 6 Share #10 Posted January 6 2 quick tabs on q3-43 brings the cross cursor the the centre point of the LCD again. One or 2 ‘normal Speed’ tabs brings the cross cursor to the place where I tapped.
PeterHatt Posted January 6 Share #11 Posted January 6 You can also move it with the up/down left/right arrows (without focusing)
