Olaf_ZG Posted December 25, 2024 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought the Q3 43 and I really like it. Having owned a monochrom, I thought I might buy a q2m for low light event shots. However, secondhand they are as expensive as a q3. Though I didn’t like the files from the Q2, I guess files from the Q2M will be totally different. Problem - for me - mixing a Q2M with Q3 43 would be the handling. A Q3 can be setup equally as the Q3 43. The Q2M fits the lay-out of the SL2 series which I use as well. But, after three years with a monochrom, I find it hard to convert color to b/w. Once seen in color on screen, it’s color… For those owning several Q’s: which setup do you prefer?

kkochheiser Posted December 26, 2024 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2024 (edited) And I have a preset in Lightroom that imports those DNGs as monochrome so I never see them as color unless I choose to. Now I need to decide whether or not to keep my Q2M, since I have an M10M. Edited December 26, 2024 by kkochheiser Added comment.

What did you do in B&W film days? Why are you bothering to look at your screen?

Olaf_ZG Posted December 26, 2024 Author Share #7 Posted December 26, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Which will help when processing, and for culling ( photo mechanic) I most probably should import a jpg as well…
