NealW Posted December 23, 2024 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been setting up my new Q3. I set the rear function button to auto exposure lock. I noticed that when I am in manual exposure mode with aperture and shutter speed set and auto ISO when I lock the exposure It automatically drops the ISO by one full stop and under exposes the photograph. Is this normal on the Q3? Is there anyway of correcting this?
Advertisement Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 Hi NealW, Take a look here AEL in Manual exposure mode. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Le Chef Posted December 23, 2024 Share #2 Posted December 23, 2024 Check you don’t have exposure compensation set to underexpose.
luetz Posted December 24, 2024 Share #3 Posted December 24, 2024 Try using "Spot Metering" under those conditions. Auto ISO did not change....
NealW Posted December 24, 2024 Author Share #4 Posted December 24, 2024 My first thought was that Exposure compensation was on, but it was not. I was using spot metering with exposure lock.
