I use phantom luts for my canon and DJI setups to get close to Arri look… thanks Robb
Advertisement Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Hi robb, Take a look here Best Luts for SL2-s cine. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LocalHero1953 Posted December 21, 2024 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) I use the Leica LUT available in DaVinci Resolve - IIRC there are four for each of Rec2020 and Rec709 and I use the Neutral one. But almost all my video is under artificial lights and I usually edit for light and colour after applying the LUT, so the LUT is just a starting point. Al Brown Posted December 21, 2024 Share #3 Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) Phantom LUTS are all you need, but if you need clean get REC709 or 2020 as mentioned above. The LUTS are just entry points to grading log files, the magic happens afterwards and manually. PS. I owned ARRI Amira for 7 years, Phantom LUTs are not really "close to ARRI look" 😊 Edited December 21, 2024 by Al Brown

Photoworks Posted December 21, 2024 Share #5 Posted December 21, 2024 I think all the aswear refers to .mov with L-LOG profiles. Your question was about the ProresRAW recorder for external recording. correct? i don't know what you are shooting, but most of the time Raw is overwhelming in size, and not necessary if you set you camera correctly with WB and exposure. You can use the Nutral Rec 2020 Lut on the camera to monitor exposure and color. i never did any raw edits from Atomos, mostly doing color from BRAW and Leica LOG files internally. I found the Leica video to be very good in log, it is very similar to the Panasonic. My Way of working with it is DaVinci Resolve Studio, you need studio to edit these files. Set up a project, and when you create the timeline use this setting for color management. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! before adding the video to the timeline, from the media tab select all the l-LOG files and right-click on them chose, IMPUT COLOR SPACE -> LEICA -> LEICA L-LOG (you can do it in the color section too) at this point you get all the colors back with a space that davinci created, and you can start editing in the timeline. OUTPUT in my setting is set to Rec 709 2.2, my material goes on the web and looks good on youtube and Instagram this way. You may want something different for your videos.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! before adding the video to the timeline, from the media tab select all the l-LOG files and right-click on them chose, IMPUT COLOR SPACE -> LEICA -> LEICA L-LOG (you can do it in the color section too) at this point you get all the colors back with a space that davinci created, and you can start editing in the timeline.
