charles lamb Posted December 9, 2024 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) hi all I have an m10 and the old 020 visoflex , iv used it extensively in rain on dirt bike riding though Cambodia , ext. I was pleased with it until one day I shut the hard case lid and the visoflex was not on.the camera properly and it broke the shoe , when I got home I contacted leica if they could fix it , but they said they could not , after viewing the pics , but said if I send it in they can offer a deal , 700 Australian dollars and the old visoflex and they will send the new version ,, so I googled. reviews ext and , I was not impressed with the reviews and was sketchy to the new ones ability on the m 10 , , so I ordered the new one , thank you . to leica for the good deal , as the old one was worthless to me ,, any way I just received it its not even a question too ask , its way better , one does not have to have the eye perfect behind the screen the build quality is like a different planet , its way clearer , focus ing is wy easer one can access the speed dial , its firm and strong , and. not as high and the shape is complementary to the camera its so much better than the old 020, there is no point in comparisons ,, so if you want a. gps , on the pics. just. shoot one with the camera without the visoflex and you got a. group shot of where , they were taken , its a fantastic item and I can use all my nickon lenses ,, macro 55 mill. and my 180,mm 2,8 perfect for shots of people , around town and my Leica lenses , so if you ae thinking of a visoflex the newline is defiantly the way to go , good luck happy shooting ,,,

iDont Posted December 11, 2024 Share #2 Posted December 11, 2024 Hey charles, I was thinking of picking up the visoflex 2 for the 10R as I mount nikon lenses most of the time. A question as I’ve never owned a visoflex: Does the shutter open automatically when looking through the evf and shuts back close when not looking through it? I’ve read online there is a “blackout” time, care to share some insights on that? I do not mind the battery drain as I have 3 spare batteries. Cheers!
