Advertisement Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Hi o2mpx, Take a look here M11 vs M11-p Matte Black. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Derbyshire Man Posted December 6, 2024 Share #2 Posted December 6, 2024 I've not had mine that long, the M11P for 12 months or so. The first one I had was plagued with a randomly sticky rangefinder. It did it initially for a day and then stopped, it repeated it again 6 months later when I was on a trip. Again only for a short time. I was offered it being sent off (for aeons) or a swap for a demo. I was told the demo was mint. When I got it home and examined it in different lighting it actually had two wear marks from zips on the top plate. I thought about taking it back but couldn't be bothered. Over the next 6 months these have largely disappeared so excellent I'd say! Of course it is possible to 'aluminium' the edges/scratch the coating on the rangefinder and generally wear it all sorts of ways but overall the coating is very hard. 1
Photoworks Posted December 7, 2024 Share #3 Posted December 7, 2024 It's the best paint ever. the only wear is on the brass knobs.
username Posted December 10, 2024 Share #4 Posted December 10, 2024 Kinda makes you wonder why they don't machine the knobs out of aluminium (and use the same kind of paint on them) as well..
nameBrandon Posted December 11, 2024 Share #5 Posted December 11, 2024 Not sure if the finish on the M11-P is the same as the M11-M, but they've both been fantastic for me.. not a blemish to report on either body.
RobW0 Posted December 11, 2024 Share #6 Posted December 11, 2024 The P, M and D finish all seem pretty much the same to me.
