Q3 43 and why you MUST update your older Capture One (Pro) Versions for it.

If you own a Q3 43, shoot DNGs and run older standalone versions of C1, please do yourself a favour and update to the newest version.

Someone deep inside Leica dropped this knowledgebomb and after testing my old C1 22 Pro (15.2.0) vs the newest version I can say its crazy how different they render the DNGs.

The higher the ISOs of your DNGs, the exponentially bigger the differnce in colors and even sharpness.

I hope these attached pictures can show the difference, best seen when downloaded and watched in a picture viewer, cause the differences actually pop out when you go back and forth between the sample pictures, otherwise just go and download the newest trial version of C1 and go test it for yourself.

WARNING: be sure to look up how to undo the cataloge update, that the trial version requires, otherwise you cant use your old C1 cataloges with your old C1 versions any more.

In the first sample set at ISO 12500, the most obvious differences are the eyes of the mother and how sharp or soft her eye part is and the balloons.

That's impressive. I took a Black Friday deal today and got the latest version for €159. I also had the 22 version before. The differences are truly remarkable.

Poor German. We people in North America never pay that much even in full price 😄
