SummiluxMan Posted November 24, 2024 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, brand-new to Leica, just acquired a used Q2. How does one select the magnification factor of either 3x or 6x when pressing the thumbwheel button on image playback?
Advertisement Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Hi SummiluxMan, Take a look here How to set 3x or 6x magnification on playback using Q2 thumbwheel button. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LocalHero1953 Posted November 24, 2024 Share #2 Posted November 24, 2024 (edited) I have recently sold my Q2 for a Q3 43, but I recall just turning the wheel. One way shows you thumbnails of lots of photos, the other way shows you an increasingly magnified view. This is in the manual for the Q3 43. Is it not in the Q2 manual? SummiluxMan Posted November 24, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted November 24, 2024 Thanks. Yes, turning the thumbwheel will increase magnification per the manual, but not exactly quick or easy to turn - mine’s pretty stiff. Tapping the thumbwheel center button does a quick 3x mag, but that’s it. I was wondering how to set that button to also go to 6x…? I got a pretty minty Q2 on eBay just now, so didn’t quite take the ‘new’ $ plunge. My 1st Leica, I’m blown away by the lens performance. Getting my feet wet. How do you like the Q3 43? microview Posted November 26, 2024 Share #4 Posted November 26, 2024 Why not use the touch screen and two fingers to quickly increase/decrease magnification? Do exact 3x/6x really matter?
SummiluxMan Posted November 27, 2024 Author Share #5 Posted November 27, 2024 Yes, great idea. A little slower, but good work around.
