Perspectics Posted January 3, 2008 Share #1 Â Posted January 3, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I`d like to use Cornerfix but unfortunately there are prerequisites in the way: Â * Both Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 require that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package be installed. For instructions on how to do so, see below. Â It's nice that Cornerfix is free but a C compiler isn`t exactly cheap Although I am a C++ programmer I don`t have the latest and greatest version as I`m still working with MS VC++ 2003. Is there any way around this requirement?

Perspectics Posted January 3, 2008 Author Share #3 Â Posted January 3, 2008 I forwarded this posting to sandy.cornerfix@gmail.com, thank you. I suppose those are the people who wrote the prereqs and since I`m asking how to "workaround" them I thought this forum might be a clever place to ask. sandymc Posted January 3, 2008 Share #5 Â Posted January 3, 2008 * Both Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 require that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package be installed. Â All you need is the Redistributable Package, not the whole MS VC++ package. The redistributable is a free download from here: Â Download details: Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) Â It won't interfere with your existing VC package. But please note you also have to have Dot Net V2 installed. Â Sandy
