I`d like to use Cornerfix but unfortunately there are prerequisites in the way:

* Both Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 require that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package be installed. For instructions on how to do so, see below.

It's nice that Cornerfix is free but a C compiler isn`t exactly cheap :( Although I am a C++ programmer I don`t have the latest and greatest version as I`m still working with MS VC++ 2003. Is there any way around this requirement?

If there is a work around, he will surely know it, as it's his software.

I am sure he will be along shortly.

All you need is the Redistributable Package, not the whole MS VC++ package. The redistributable is a free download from here:

Download details: Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)

It won't interfere with your existing VC package. But please note you also have to have Dot Net V2 installed.
