These editions are not limited, both body and lens.
Leica Miami has confirmed it.
Noctilux BP is BP over aluminum.
M11 BP based on M11 chipset. 64 gb internal, gorilla glass, etc. etc.

Blackpaint is now accessible for everyone.

do you have a source for the BP over aluminium?

The camera looks pretty. The lens, pretty much meh. If I want that lens style I just go with voightlaender and have more money left to spare and nearly the same quality.

I am very disappointed, and just informed my dealer I don't want either the camera or the lens anymore

The real question is whether they will sell batteries with a gloss black finish to match.

🧐

Kinda hard to tell from the official product shot on their website whether it's just black plastic, or the new Glossy Black Paint Finish™

Very disappointing to hear, that the glossy variant is based on the M11, not on the M11-P.  The technical data on the website don't even mention the weight, neither of the camera nor of the 1,2 Noctilux, which will definitely be much heavier than their black anodized counterparts due to their brass bodies. Currently I'm overthinking my intention of buying both items.

Noctilux BP is black paint over aluminum. No weight gain.

I am really disappointed Leica releases this pair as just a design variant, not limited or special edition as they did in the past for BPs. What is the point to collect these design variant if they could produce and sell as much as they could ?

The price of the classic Noctllux black anodised re-issue has been suffering notable price drop over the past few years. I have no choice, but to cancel my order.

As for the BP 50 1.2 Noctilux, on Leica's website it states "based on standard model", which I see to mean the standard alloy body. Plus with price increase over the standard black anodized lens being quite small I can't imagine the black paint 50 1.2 is a brass body.

As I’ve linked recently please take a look at the full details here about the finish of the Noctilux lens: https://www.reddotforum.com/content/2024/11/leica-m11-and-noctilux-m-50mm-f-1-2-asph-introduced-in-glossy-black-paint/

“To honor the uniqueness of that 100-piece commemorative release, as well as offer lighter weight for everyday photography, the new glossy black version features aluminum construction, not brass. And while it may lack the heft of brass, the finish still looks amazing, especially with the feet scale in red instead of the standard orange.”

The M11 BP itself is BP over brass, but not the lens.

i think when they say "to honor......100-piece..." they refer to the silver version of the re-issue, so yeah, the new black paint isnt limited

You are right. The camera has a brass body, the lens is made of aluminium, just like the standard version. It's quite confusing, because I had read somewhere, that glossy black paint doesn't work very well with aluminium. So why did Leica choose brass for the camera body?
