Einst_Stein Posted November 15, 2024 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) My X Vario has power problem. 1: The same battery that looks full on X-U would show only 2/3 in XV. 2: The battery drains very fast I XV, about 10 shots will start to show no power. 3: The problem get more serious if EVF is attached. It certainly needs service by Leica, but before that, any suggestion?

It certainly needs service by Leica, but before that, any suggestion? Leica no longer service the X Vario or any other X series Leica APS-C fixed lens compact cameras. The better news is that David Slater at Camera Focus can service all Leica X series https://camera-focus.co.uk/menu You could try cleaning the battery terminals using a Q tip moistened with iso propyl alcohol or a proprietary sensor cleaner. edwardpychan Posted December 12, 2024 Share #5 Posted December 12, 2024 It sounds like something's up with the battery or power management, especially with the EVF attached. I had a similar issue once where the battery seemed fine in one camera but drained super fast in another. I’d recommend trying a different battery to see if that helps, and also check if anything like image stabilization or other power-hungry settings are turned on. If that doesn’t do the trick, it’s probably worth getting it checked by Leica, as it seems like a deeper power issue.

I will turn of stabilization .Any other features cause power hungry?
