alan mcfall Posted November 9, 2024 Share #1  Posted November 9, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) The item in the first two photos (front and rear) and marked E. Leitz Wetzlar, condensor logo, would certainly appear to be a stereo/Stemar style filter. But I cannot find the code for it. Both LagerAccessories p.282 and the detailed summary in Vidom 22, p.26, suggest that this could be the "projecting polarization filter" for use with the pre-war Stemar system. Might it fit both the 35/3.5 Elmar stereo lens (OWENO) and the Stemar 35/2.5 lens (OVUTO), and used when projecting early Leitz Stereo images, and viewing with polarization glasses. It will not fit the post-war Stemar 33mm stereo lens shown in photos 3 and 4. This lens used the small (19mm?) screw in filters for taking the image. But, for projecting the stereo image, one could use the IMPUU 50/3.5 lens that had the polarizing filters affexed with hinge mount, last photo. I don't have a pre-war stereo lens to try it on. Perhaps someone can provide some information, especially the code word for this item, if it had one. Thanks Welcome, dear visitor!
