The new Godox X3L TTL Wireless flash trigger and the Leica M11

I recently purchased the new Godox X3L (from B&H) to use with my Leica M11.

It turns out the X3L works on the M10 but not on the M11.

Godox <servicesupport@godox.com> tells me that "the compatibility issue is due to a mismatch in the hotshoe, which cannot be resolved through a firmware update."

I had to return it 😪

that is not true!

the hotshoe is the same, I have the M10, M11, the x3-L, xProII-l, and the SFC1. if that is the case it would not work on any other Leica camera.

the issue is the new sensor metering and preflash reading, that it needs firmware to make it work.

Profoto had the same issue, Leica and Profoto worked together to get it fixed.

Godox has not been an official partner they can only re-engineer by trial and error.

I got the Godox XProII-L. It works fine in TTL on the M11, even HSS. But in Manual Mode, it will only work up to the sync speed.

that can't be the correct information.
The TTL on the M11 is not giving correct exposure over time as it should

Even Godox says that M11 is not supported.
