tommonego@gmail.com Posted November 1, 2024 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Met a guy on a trail and he noticed I had a Leica, asked me if I would like his minature Leica. It ended up being a C-Lux 1, such a cute little camera. The last images that were on the card were 2015, so the camera hadn't been used in 10 years. On image review mode it seems to work, but on picture modes I keep getting "Please turn the camera off and on again", which seems to be a death message. I have reset the camera, but the battery has minor swelling, it will charge but I am wondering if a new battery may help, I formated the SD card. Any suggestions? Advertisement Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 Hi tommonego@gmail.com, Take a look here C-Lux 1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted November 2, 2024 Share #2 Posted November 2, 2024 Format a new card in the camera. A swelling battery usually means it is on the way out, so replace before it can cause any damage. Do you mean a C typ 112 camera, predecessor of the C-Lux? tommonego@gmail.com Posted November 2, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted November 2, 2024 Thanks Graham, I tried to format an old 16gb card in the camera, the camera just gave me a card error and wouldn't let me format the card, but it was a card I had on hand and was old. So I will try to pick up a new card and battery. I could format the the Leica card in the camera.
tommonego@gmail.com Posted November 6, 2024 Author Share #4 Posted November 6, 2024 (edited) Oh well easy come easy go, Even with a new battery it won't operate, The vitewing menu works but in picture taking modes I still get the "Turn camera off and on again" message. I get something on the LCD before his but it doesn't focus. Oh yes I realized the card is a 64mb card not a 64gb card.
