Seriously, of course the gear is important because it facilitates work but what really matters is your skill (both in the take and in post) and your ideas and personal point of view. An S3 is better in some things than an S2 and so on and so forth but the gear is not the critical part of it. Besides being loaded to the gill and heavy, It looks like you are using a Think Tank Bag. Which one, and how do you do such an ingenious and neat job of organizing and placing all those dividers? Particularly impressed by the doubled up side and the smaller dividers across the top section. I have a number of Think Tank and Mind Shift bags, yours just looks so well done. Advertisement Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Hi Pieter12, Take a look here 006 Kolari replaced glass vs 006 Leica replaced sensor. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

Years ago my M9 was afflicted by the dreaded sensor corrosion problem. I decided to not go the Kolari route, sold the camera instead. A friend of mine did use Kolari's services for his M9, that camera is still going strong.
irenedp Posted January 19 Share #23 Posted January 19 it’s a standard ThinkTank Airport carry on. I just remodeled so that i could, more or less carry what I need. Two bodies, three lenses each, batteries, tether and laptop. Does not need to be checked. And the wheels help. I have another ThinkTank, similar to a messenger bag, for the Ms. It is either/or, depending on the job. And if needed , lighting equipment in a long bag (but that only moves locally). Tirpitz666 Posted January 20 Share #24 Posted January 20 Glad to hear that the Kolari repair worked well for you, although for me it's too expensive, at 2k bucks or a little more, with some patience (and luck) you may well find an used body with replaced sensor (at least here in Europe), but I've seen that in the US they are more difficult to be found indeed. I'm very happy with it. I bought the body with replaced sensor from them and upgraded to the more expensive lifetime glass. Cost was $4000, which I thought was reasonable. I bought the 006 with the new sensor from Leica later - they don't come around very often. I was very curious to compare them, and in my limited testing I can't see a difference. Having said that, I hardly ever use the cameras, as I have different systems that are more suited to the work I do in the studio and on location, but I do pull them out for things that I think they will really excel at....
