Leicaboy Norway Posted October 17, 2024 Share #1  Posted October 17, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't know if you can see it but there's a piece that keeps sticking out. And it's not possible to completely "shut" the ring because of it.  I've tried to "tuck it back in", but difficult. Should I just buy a new eye cup or is there an (easy) fix? 😀 Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Hi Leicaboy Norway, Take a look here Do I need to change the eye cup of my sl2?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Alexander SH Posted October 18, 2024 Share #2 Â Posted October 18, 2024 Buy a new one. Easy fix. Beware the tiny screws. Did it on my SL2. Good luck
Donald M Posted October 19, 2024 Share #3  Posted October 19, 2024 Forget it on a SL1. It cost me nearly €300 to have it repaired. I had to send it to Wetzlar… The little screws stick out from the house of the camera, so the camera had to be disassembled. Obviously a design fault, which was corrected in the SL2. But the camera got CLA’d as well.

German craftmanship and engineering is top class. But with the premium price they charge, and the emphasis on quality control and general quality of assembly, of parts etc, which I've seen Peter Karbe say This is not anywhere good enough
