Leica Q3 43 Half case or base plate recommendation

Just got my Leica Q3 43 and the original Leica half case is too bulky, any other recommendations for a lights or less bulky half case or base plate just to protect the base?

I use the A&A Q3 half case/protector in black.   It is not bulky, it goes on and off easily, opens at the bottom for battery change, has a subtle (compared to other half cases) grip area in the front, and comes at a reasonable price.  It does not significantly increase the camera profile or draw more attention to the camera.   it's not Art di Mano or Oberwerth leather thickness or expense, but it's a nice covering.

I purchased a very nice leather half-case from Artisan Workstation.  If has an opening for the battery and SD card access and a raised area on the fron for a bit of hand grip.  They used to sell on Etsy, but at the moment you have to buy direct.  Artisan Workstation Q3 half-case

I would recommend Artisan Workstation as well. I have bought several cases from them, Q2, M10-R and now the Q3. All are/were top notch and not bulky.

Some good recommendations here in this thread and I’ve ordered a few to test out on my Q3. The best one in terms of fit and finish and low profile, for me, was a combination half case AND baseplate from LIMS - www.limsdesign.com. I got mine in black and it’s perfect but they have other color combos on the site. Top quality leather and a low profile base. I work as a designer and creative director so form, function, and looks really matter for me personally. Doesn’t change the clean look of the Q and the handgrip is most welcome for how I walk around and make images. You can also get on Amazon bit shipping and customer service direct from LIMS is great.

I have a Lim's half-case for my Q3.  Got it in a coffee color as I was tired of black.  It has a nice grip on the side and the bottom is slightly raised to allow for battery access.  I think it ran about $120, so not too expensive.

Yes, I looked and mine was also $160.  It's a lot better fit than some of the less expensive ones.  Love the look of it.

I received my Lim's half case with grip and cover plate.  The case fits perfectly, quality is very good and feels solid in the hand.  It also adds some weight (6oz.) and  the Q3 feels noticably heavier to me.  I will keep it and use it on an upcoming trip, but did want to point out the additional weight.  I initially ordered from Amazon due to advertised fast prime delivery.  However, Amazon kept extending the estimated delivery date by a week or more.  I canceled Amazon and ordered from an eBay seller instead, and received the case 2 days later.
