gtto Posted September 27, 2024 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I find I prefer using no sharpening on the raw images. They seem to look a little more film like to my eyes That being said my eyes are old! Does anyone else find this to be true? I am using C1 for post. Thanks. Advertisement Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Hi gtto, Take a look here Q2M no sharpening?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thegobi Posted September 27, 2024 Share #2 Posted September 27, 2024 Same here, no sharpening A lot of people seem to like extra sharp, low-key, high-contrast images for black and white. I like the look as well, but it can waste the talents of the Q2M with its lovely smooth gradations in mid tones.

For me, I like it where it is - I don’t want to increase it or reduce it. …not a hard and fast rule—depends on the individual image. One reason I like the Q2M is less time in post. It’s a personal bias, but the more the world is obsessing with AI and over-processed images the less time I want in front of a computer and to be out taking photos
