Advertisement Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Hi AdjusterBrett, Take a look here ODD one - anyone have BOTH S5ii AND Sony A7iii or newer. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AdjusterBrett Posted October 24, 2024 Author Share #2 Posted October 24, 2024 OK, popular... Let me 'focus' this on just the autofocus. Yes, seen many videos - but if you have had a newer sony and tried the S5ii - wondering in the real world (kids running around, events, non-studio) how they compare. I'm an L mount fan - and my next body will prioritize something I don't use all that much (AF) - but would like to have one which serves the purpose. I owned two Sony A7III and now have two A7IV as my workhorses. I don´t own an S5II, but I own an S9 which has the same AF, if not slightly better then the S5II. The Sony AF is still superior, but the S9 AF is more than fast enough to capture kids and everyday life. If the new Leica SL3-S would get an AF like the S9, I would let my Sony gear go.
