mbaker Posted December 26, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted December 26, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know where I can buy a Voigtlander 28 f1.9? I'm new to everything involving Leica so I haven't really found any place to buy things yet.... I did find one, but it was a screw mount, not an m mount.... Â Yes ... but it might not be on a convenient continent. Which is yours? Â BTW, the 28/1.9 Ultron seems only to be made in screw mount - but like virtually all screw mount lenses it works perfectly on any M-series Leica if you just get the appropriate adapter. Â If you have an M6 or M7, get a Leitz/Leica or Voigtlander adapter marked for 90 & 28mm or 90mm only. If you have an M8, things are a bit more complicated: post back for more information. Models before the M6 don't have a 28mm viewfinder frame and it doesn't matter which adapter you use.
sean_reid Posted December 27, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted December 27, 2007 On the M8, the best adapter for the CV 28s is the Milich LT-M8 which has indentations for self-coding. If buying from the USA is workable, I also recommend Cameraquest. Â Cheers, Â Sean
