footnoteblog Posted December 25, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted December 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I can't for the life of me figure out how the fields work out to correct the cyan drift corners. Â Â Some starting numbers please? Â Thanks.
Advertisement Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Hi footnoteblog, Take a look here PanoTools settings for 15mm Voigtlander?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted December 26, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted December 26, 2007 Jack: Â I haven't used PanoTools since I sold my 15mm, but the last settings I used were 15,4,4 in the PT adjust radial luminance tool. The 15 was the red channel.
footnoteblog Posted December 27, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted December 27, 2007 Great start. I'd been using Radial shift, and nothing was working right, until I realized it was Radial Luminance I was after... Â thanks

nemeng Posted December 27, 2007 Share #5  Posted December 27, 2007 Great start. I'd been using Radial shift, and nothing was working right, until I realized it was Radial Luminance I was after...  Radial Shift = geometric correction for barrel distortion and colour fringing Radial Luminance = correction for corner vignetting  If you only have vignetting in one colour - here cyan - then just alter the red channel.  The earlier quote for "R,G,B : 15, 4, 4" not only corrects for cyan in the corners, but also does overall vignetting correction (which all wide angle lenses suffer from, especially on digital sensors).  BTW there is also a "PTools for dummies" tool called "LensFix" - see Kekus.com
footnoteblog Posted January 6, 2008 Author Share #6 Â Posted January 6, 2008 Thanks! Â So what are the CornerFix profiles, and are there some premade ones? Oh and what coding should I use? Man, I can't believe I've never even gotten around to fixing this stuff. (Yes, I did get an IR cut filter shoved into this thing!)
