zapp Posted December 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the latest issue we learn about Frank Röth and his photos he took in Russia on a couple trips between 1996 and 1999. As always we learn more than we want about the gear he used. Like the 1.4/50mm ASHP and the 2.8/24 mm ASHP for M and the 2/90 APOASPH for his R. Too bad the 50 and the 90 were not for sale until 1999 and the 24 just appeared in 1998. Considering this the typo in the German version talking about the 2/60 macro for R is just funny. But who knowes, maybe Frank is a secret lens teetser for new Leica designs and just gave away the new specifications for the 60mm macro for R mount and that it fits an R6.2. Can we get professional service and a professional journal for a really good camera system at one day?

stunsworth Posted December 16, 2007 Share #4 Posted December 16, 2007 If the photographs were taken between 1996 and 1999, where's the problem if he says he used lenses that were launched in 1998/99? Perhaps before 1998 he used other lenses, who knows? Anyhow, it's the photographs that are important. Isn't it? Just a thought.
