Q2 Mono Issue?

Hi all

 

Quick one.. when in manual aperture/shutter and single focus (not continuous) in a reasonably dark space the viewfinder goes bright for a split second then reverts back to darker. Is this normal? Just received 2nd hand Q2M and don't remember seeing this on a Q2. Im adjusting the correct exposure through the viewfinder but regardless on pressing slightly on shutter to get focus its brightening then going back to original darker view.

 

When in continuous autofocus (again in manual mode aperture/shutter) the viewfinder remains at one brightness level on light press of shutter button yet the exposure as set is darker (I assume the camera needs a lighter view to focus in darker scenes)..  Must say I've never used continuous autofocus on a Q2 so that might be normal.
