Some day I recieve one email from one guy called Thomas Kally asking about the price and conditions for payment and also the shipping process. I send all the information they asked me and after some time and many email´s they send me one chek for payment the camera. I can only send the camera after good enchasment of the chek of corse but the guy pass all the time to try to convince me to send the camera before the money stays in my account. After two weeks I recieve the information of my friends bank they say the check was FALSE!!. Now I have my name in this kind of bad transations whitout any fault. The good thing is my friend not send the camera so they still remains in yours hands for sell once more. So be carefull whit your´s sells. Ivar B Posted December 14, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2007 Rui, Many thanks for sharing this information with us. There is always some danger of course, and this forum being so new we do not have as rigid a feedback system yet as for example eBay does. I would not recommend accepting a personal cheque as payment, and with no transaction history with the other party I would in any case not ship until the cheque has clared. Pay Pal is safer, and a bank transfer the very best, of course. Personally, I have done three transactions with other Forum members, one direct sale where I was the seller, and two trades, in both of which I also had to pay some money on the side. These three transactions were perfect.
