Would my lens fit a Canon EOS 5D?

I have the following lens with R8/DMR, but wanted a full-frame camera to shoot wide angles with. Would they fit the 5D without modifications? Thanks in advance.

Of your list, the only wide angle that will work on the 5D is the 28mm. The 21-35mm will not work and the 34-70mm may work. The 50mm and up lenses and zooms will work.

 

In other words, the 5D will not do much for you in the use of the Leica wide angles.

Thanks for the quick response. It`s too bad I can`t make use of the wide lens on the 5D. I asked because Canon is offering a good rebate program as much as CDN$700. Full frame is something that every DMR user is still wishing for, at least before the arrival of R10.

 

I also own a Digilux 3 and my other option was to get an Olympus 11-14mm for the wide angle.

 

Given the choice would you get a Canon body to make use of the full frame (w/o the beneficial of wide angle), or get the Olym lens?
