Einst_Stein Posted August 21, 2024 Share #1 Posted August 21, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I tried Fz1000 , FZ1000 ii, FZ2500, and Leica Vlux 5. While Vlux 5 is flexible with good image quality. I like FZ2500 much better. Why Leica do not like FZ2500?
Advertisement Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Hi Einst_Stein, Take a look here Why Leica Vlux is LUMIX FZ1000 not FZ2500. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rjans Posted August 24, 2024 Share #2 Posted August 24, 2024 The Panasonic FZ2000/FZ2500 is a video centric camera while the FZ1000, FZ1000 ii and V-Lux 5 are more photography with video capabilities. I seem to recall that the video specifications of the FZ1000 ii and V-Lux 5 are a bit different from each other. The V-Lux 5 is a rebadged FZ1000 ii and is discontinued by Panasonic. This also applies to other Panasonic compact cameras. Leica always had a D-Lux, a V-Lux type and also a C-Lux or C in their compact camera line. Possible Leica did not see a market for a Leica branded FZ2000/2500 camera those days.
