hdmesa Posted August 15, 2024 Share #1 Â Posted August 15, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know why Leica changed the slow motion video on the SL3 so that in-camera an on-computer it plays back at normal speed instead of as slow motion? I know this can be adjusted in a professional video editor, but I was used to the SL2-S that played back the files in-camera on on-computer in slow motion by default. Is there a setting I'm missing? Both the 100 and 120fps settings on the SL3 play back at regular speed.
Advertisement Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Hi hdmesa, Take a look here SL3 Slow Motion Video Playback is Normal Speed. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jonathan Levin Posted August 15, 2024 Share #2  Posted August 15, 2024 (edited) Not sure about the playback on camera. What editing program are you using? I can tell you in Final Cut with say a 30fps project, import the slo mo clip and then look at the retiming option for that clip. I’m nit at my workstation otherwise I’d check. Premier should have similar but I don’t work with that. Edited August 15, 2024 by Jonathan Levin
Photoworks Posted August 15, 2024 Share #3 Â Posted August 15, 2024 Is it possible you didn't pick the correct setting? on SL3 choose FHD Slow Motion, and your videos will play slow on the camera too, just like the SL2

I thought there were only four options, and I didn't think to keep scrolling down so that the fifth option for FHD Slow Motion appears. I was just choosing FHD and setting the fps to 100 or 119. Doh!
