PanHay Posted August 8, 2024 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’m playing with the little flash unit and now want to try out a flash with a moveable head for bouncing the light and possibly for filters. Does anyone have any recommendations for compatible flash units that are a little cheaper than the SF40?
Advertisement Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Hi PanHay, Take a look here D-Lux 8 Flash. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
James Connerly Posted November 29, 2024 Share #2 Posted November 29, 2024 LOL! I’m imagining putting the SF40 on this tiny camera! I’ll have to try it.
rsolomon Posted December 1, 2024 Share #3 Posted December 1, 2024 I haven’t played with the supplied flash, any good ? Powerful?
prymsnap Posted December 1, 2024 Share #4 Posted December 1, 2024 The supplied flash works very well for my purposes: a bit of fill when shooting outdoors. And of course you can use flash compensation to tweak. I read somewhere that the Olympus FL300R is an option (a little bigger, uses 2 AA batteries) but I've not tried it myself.
djb Posted February 15 Share #5 Posted February 15 Does anyone know if the mini flash that came with the DLux 8 is compatible with the Q3? That's the perfect size flash that I'm looking for my Q3
just3aBro Posted February 15 Share #6 Posted February 15 It’s not compatible
flappo Posted February 25 Share #7 Posted February 25 Advertisement (gone after registration) You can probably add diffusers and maybe a card to bounce the light upwards , bit diy but effective
