mhoutman Posted August 6, 2024 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica specs: UHS-II (recommended), UHS-I, SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card Any thoughts and experience with an D-Lux x compatible SD card. Are UHS-II worth the premuum price over UHS I? Thanks

Knorp Posted August 6, 2024 Share #2 Posted August 6, 2024 It's by Leica's recommendation. Why would you save a few pennies on an SD card ?

To me the UHS II seems about triple the price of a UHS-I but actually your answer is not very related to me question 🤷🏻♂️ Edited August 6, 2024 by mhoutman

PanHay Posted August 7, 2024 Share #5 Posted August 7, 2024 I purchased a few Lexar Professional 1667x SD Card 128GB, SDXC UHS-II Memory Cards from Mr Amazon @£31. I have a Mac, USB-C hub and portable SSD drives that are all UHS-II compatible. As far as reliability, time will tell, but buy the best you can.

Thanks dude I have serious issues with my Dlux8 and the SD cards (if the real problem is the SD card), I ordered the same model, I hope this will solve everything What is your process with SD ? You shoot, and then you use an USB-C cable to discharge ? or you remove the SD card from the camera to put it in the SD clot of the computer ? Do you transfer the pics in the internal storage or browse them directly from the card ? Do you erase the card before each new shooting ? I'm searching what is wrong with what I do, why I have corrupted DNG and quickly after unreadable SD card with my Dlux-8... I think it’s your process… or the software you use to process the card….. what happens if you format the card in camera, shoot photos, remove card and read from computer…. Ensure your software for importing from the card doesn’t delete or format…. Just read. If this works you should be able to continue using same the card, all photos should be there …. and readable by camera… if this works, great…. You have a software or process glitch, if not you may have a hardware issue with card reader
