psquared Posted December 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 11, 2007 Marc, Much clearer than Monet's paintings. Nicely framed and captured. Peter
imported_peter_m Posted December 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 11, 2007 Can't say I ever seen Monet's painting... but that is sure nicely done. Great framing and exposure. Your nice clean processing. Peter
marc_dufour Posted December 11, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted December 11, 2007 Hello, Peter(s) Thanks to both for your time and kind comments. Well, this garden isn't really the Giverny one... I took the picture in Malaysia ;-) But the scene evoked so irretrievably the Monet atmosphere... Cheers, Marc

rougewave Posted December 12, 2007 Share #7 Posted December 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Marc, nice rendering. The full set of Monet's panels in on display in the 2nd floor landing of the MOMA. Clarity is not the intent, but it's ability to transport beyond the virtual image is. Come to our city and enjoy it's splendor.
marc_dufour Posted December 12, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted December 12, 2007 Ben. I'm sure I should enjoy, watching the series "live", much more than when I was studying it, 30 years ago... Meanwhile, thanks a lot for your comments, and your invitation ;-) Marc
Martin T-M Posted December 13, 2007 Share #9 Posted December 13, 2007 You are lucky because in the real Monet's garden you have to pay copyrights for using photographs. Well done.
marc_dufour Posted December 13, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted December 13, 2007 Hello Martin (?), Well, with or without copyright, I shouldn't dare to take pictures there... this garden has already said all it had to say, I'm afraid ;-) But each time I see this kind of environment, I can't avoid to remember Monet. Thanks for looking and your comment. Marc PS: I like the stuff you use !
