why not simply use the phone app?

and it says "This Kit is for compact cameras that have a shutter release button that is angled to the top plate of the camera rather than being flat on the top, like a normal compact camera."

I have an iPhone 14 Pro and I don't know that app.

From what I'm seeing, this Kit is somewhere in between, there is another one for SLRs and another one for small compacts, this is the one that most closely resembles the aforementioned cameras in size.
