Ning Ning Posted July 29, 2024 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Is it actually possible to change the size of the autofocus measuring field, even if Touch AF is not activated? Advertisement Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Hi Ning Ning, Take a look here Change the size of the AF metering field?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jonathan Levin Posted July 29, 2024 Share #2 Posted July 29, 2024 I do know that even with Touch AF deactivated, a double tap on screen re-centers focus area. You can’t “resize” the focus area using the two finger method though. However I thought there was some combination of wheel/dial/joystick that may work. Steve Babuljak Posted July 30, 2024 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2024 Yeah I’ve been wondering about this as well. It would a nice option if a FN button could change this.
Ning Ning Posted July 30, 2024 Author Share #4 Posted July 30, 2024 I have tried combinations with joystick and wheels. Unfortunately without success so far.
Photoworks Posted July 30, 2024 Share #5 Posted July 30, 2024 if touch AF is off you can press and hold on the screen and resize the AF Field option.
Ning Ning Posted July 30, 2024 Author Share #6 Posted July 30, 2024 Just tried it out. Unfortunately, this does not work when using EVF Extended. But it does indeed work when I use the display. Thanks for the tip.
Jonathan Levin Posted July 30, 2024 Share #7 Posted July 30, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) In EVF Auto mode you can do it, but that setting drove me crazy. EVF Extended for me too.
