Change the size of the AF metering field?

Is it actually possible to change the size of the autofocus measuring field, even if Touch AF is not activated? (SL3)

I do know that even with Touch AF deactivated, a double tap on screen re-centers focus area. You can’t “resize” the focus area using the two finger method though. However I thought there was some combination of wheel/dial/joystick that may work.

Yeah I’ve been wondering about this as well. It would a nice option if a FN button could change this.

I have tried combinations with joystick and wheels. Unfortunately without success so far.

if touch AF is off you can press and hold on the screen and resize the AF Field option.

Just tried it out. Unfortunately, this does not work when using EVF Extended. But it does indeed work when I use the display. Thanks for the tip.

In EVF Auto mode you can do it, but that setting drove me crazy. EVF Extended for me too.
