wolan Posted July 26, 2024 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, the picture attached is a part of a series I shot during my last holiday. All of the pictures with the moon show a strange flare that takes different orientations. They were shot with the modern APO-Summicron-M 35mm f2 and I had no filter whatsoever attached. The only explanation I have is some kind of atmospheric diffraction What do you think? Thanks. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Hi wolan, Take a look here Strange flare on night photos. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jeri Posted July 26, 2024 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2024 The photograph can indicate a weather event that includes layers of steam and moisture. Which in turn created the impressions of the flare. I wouldn't be excited about it. What's more, the resulting result looks cinematic and matter-of-fact.
