The bag looks pretty good so far, but unfortunately I can't get it in Germany at the moment.
I've also looked at the Wandrd Rough Sling 9 L, but I'm wondering whether the SL3 with the battery grip attached isn't a bit too deep for it. According to the data sheet, 2-3 cm are missing, but in practice it is often different, as the materials are flexible.
Does anyone have experience with the combination described?

For my SL2 and Vario-Elmar 24-90, I've been looking for something like this as well: sling/messenger bag, quick access with a flap instead of just a zipper, and will fit the camera+lens with the lens hood on/facing out (since I want to walk around the city with the camera / lens hood on, lens cap off, ready to shoot when needed).

I just ordered the wotancraft 7L pilot to test out, but will be returning it. It fit the SL2 + 24-90, with the lens hood on, but not a lot of wiggle room. It was good enough for a couple days of shooting out with that kit, and I was able to also pack a small 0.5L water bottle, notepad, extra battery, and some other small accessories in the bag. Happy to send you a photo of the kit if you like, I still have the bag in my possession at the moment. So it's a fine bag for the purpose, but there are a few things I don't like about it. From a size perspective, it's a little tight to fit the camera back into the bag-- you have to kind of find the right angles and wiggle it in there. Pulling it out is less of a problem. For some this might be a worthwhile tradeoff to deal with if you want to avoid sizing up to a 10L bag, especially if you don't mind having the lens hood on backwards, which alleviates the tight fit. I find I like to tighten up the strap and have the bag sit higher up on my body sometimes-- unfortunately the location of the strap quick-adjuster juts into my ribs (I am very skinny) and is rather uncomfortable-- this means the bag basically only works at a lower height sitting down at my waist/butt. The messenger style construction (i.e., flat back) also means that if the bag is slung across from left shoulder to right hip, the bag prefers to sit behind me, and not right at the side. This is alleviated when slung on the right shoulder to right hip, but I don't like to carry my bags like this too much-- maybe all larger bags will have this problem, TBD. Finally, I found the fidlock clasps to be installed (in my mind) the wrong direction. For a right-handed user, you want the bottom fidlock clasp to slide backwards for the most ergonomic sliding-off action-- however, the current design forces me to twist my hand an extra 90 degrees in order to catch the rear side of the bottom clasp and push it forward, which action I find very uncomfortable and unnecessary, I'd rather use a regular clip buckle.  These are the three main reasons I'll be returning mine.

I think Domke makes some really nice looking bags that I may consider trying in the future (e.g., the F2 maybe?) for shoots where I'm primarily walking around. At the moment however I'm planning to bike around in the city with this camera set up, so I am turning my research to courier/messenger style bags (like those by Timbuk2/Chrome) with a stabilizing strap and then building protection inside of that.

Wontacraft 7L and 10L both are too small to fit SL3 with battery grip attached.

After battery grip attached, the height of camera is too tall.
