DAK Glasgow Posted July 11, 2024 Share #1 Posted July 11, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I have a M11-P and have the shutter set to hybrid which is particularly useful when shooting wide open in bright light - my question is is it possible to program a sound so that I know when I have taken a shot? I do not have the screen on so no image automatically comes up. Many thanks David
Advertisement Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 Hi DAK Glasgow, Take a look here Hybrid shutter sound. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JohnnyG Posted July 11, 2024 Share #2 Posted July 11, 2024 No such option on my M11 David. Could prove useful, even a very faint click sound and option to silence. ‘Dangerous’ territory though as I’d imagine a shutter sound polemic brewing if such artificial sound was optioned!
Knightspirit Posted July 12, 2024 Share #3 Posted July 12, 2024 Please everyone make this a request to Leica! Very confusing to not know what is happening when the electronic shutter turns on. I suppose there would need to be some kind of tiny speaker built into the body to hear anything - so not something they could fix with a firmware upgrade on the M11, but should be included on the wishlist for the M12 IMO. Haptics in the shutter button would be my choice but I guess it could impart some camera shake at low shutter speeds in a non-IBIS body. A silent camera but you feel it in your finger tip when you take the shot would be a really nice feature though.
