LocalHero1953 Posted July 10, 2024 Share #5 Posted July 10, 2024 I believe the forum gets quite a lot of bots signing up, and just as regularly ejected when they become obvious. A post like this calls for a bit of suspicion.
MickB Posted July 10, 2024 Author Share #6 Posted July 10, 2024 Sorry for any confusion Maybe some clarification is needed, I am currently touring Dorset, Devon and Cornwall (UK) using my Q3 as a travel camera. I am also using my Canon R5 with the 24-70mm I half press the shutter button, and the camera sets the exposure (Aperture, shutter speed and ISO) I then move the camera (Slightly) to achieve a better composition I then fully press the shutter button to get the shot. During this process the image in the view finder is very smooth However on the Q3 it is not smooth when panning to a better composition I can only describe it as lost frames in the video world. This was very apparent at the Haines Motor Museum in Dorset, however the light levels where very low, so a high ISO was used to achieve the faster shutter speeds for hand held. I was using the mechanical shutter setting Yet in Devon at Sidmouth in excellent light I did not experience this, so is it a low light level problem ? I am moving between hotels, with very low broadband, so apologise for slow response to the forum. In conclusion I am loving the Q3 😀
Guest Posted July 11, 2024 Share #7 Posted July 11, 2024 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, the EVF is not great in dark scenes. There are a number of posts on this. For example I've just picked up a Nikon Z6iii which has an EVF with the same resolution. The difference is night and day (excuse the pun) Edited July 11, 2024 by Corius
