Q3 Profile settings

I am new to the Q3 camera, a few questions,

1. Can I save the default settings to my liking so they are active when switching the camera on.

2. Is it possible when the camera is turned on it goes to my profile settings rather than the default settings? 

I am trying to avoid an extra step in choosing my profile settings which has Fotus turned off to save battery, which is not the case with the default setting.

The smarter way is to choose the settings you want, save them as a profile, and give that profile a name. Let’s assume you close down the camera with that Profile as the one you were using. When you open up the camera next time it will open with that Profile and your chosen settings that go with it.

That’s with a pretty big “but” though.  If you change any setting that was included in the custom named profile, it will revert to the default profile, which likely won’t have your chosen options.

That’s actually not correct. It goes into a kind of “temporary” menu hold. Everything continues with the adjustment/ menu changes you made. To get out of that temp hold, simply press the profile you want to return to.

So far, my custom profile is still loaded after turning off the camera and or removing the sd card and the battery. Reverts back to the last profile that was active when the camera was powered down.

I did notice that any changes you make in an active profile without saving, without updating that profile except the default menu which can not be saved will not be saved in that temp hold condition.
