Hello William, I think you are referring to the September 2017 article on the "Etrin" case. What is interesting is the presence of a "Wintu" angle viewfinder in the "Etrin" case. For the "Filca" film cassettes, one in the camera and the other 2 in the cardboard container, so a total of 3.

Thanks Pierre. I had forgotten about this one. I see that I went to the trouble of measuring the cardboard tube which came with the ETRIN and there were some discussions about the variations in the style and design of the ETRIN. The double aluminium tube was also mentioned, but I did not pay much attention to it as I was focussed on the ETRIN and the cardboard tube that came with it. I suspect now that my earlier smaller ETRIN from 1926 (the one on the left in my photo) was intended to hold two aluminium containers and that these containers came with the FILCAs. Pecole showed an ETRIN type case with an external leather tube, but this was for an extinction meter.

We had another thread (the one I can't find) where we discussed I Model As which had been fitted with strap loops before they were first delivered from the factory. My memory  is that such cameras came in a set with an ETRIN and that I have one of those sets, which includes the cardboard tube.
